SAA Resource & Educational Centre

The centre was set up in February 1999. At present, there are 22 autistic children attending daily classes at this centre, which uses applied behaviour analysis method of one-to-one teaching. One educational coordinator and 9 teachers are employed in this centre.

An administrator oversees the daily operations of the Centre. The centre also has books, booklets, notes, and pamphlets on autism in English. Reprints are available at a minimal charge.

Parents with autistic children between the ages of 4-12 years old who wish to enrol their children should get a doctor to certify that their children are autistic. The doctors’ recommendation letters must be submitted together with the enrolment forms which must be filled in to put their children on the waiting list first.

Please take note that this is not a residential centre. Students come in only for half-day session (morning 8.00 a.m. -12.00 noon or afternoon 1.00-5.00 p.m.) from Monday to Friday.
